Republic Marketing
Help
Everything below is also what the assistant knows. Signed in, you can ask it any of this in the chat on your Home page.
What Republic Marketing is
Republic Marketing is a marketing department in a box. It writes your posts, designs the images, runs your ads on Google, Meta and LinkedIn, and reports on how it all went, across the accounts you already have.
You talk to it in plain English, in the chat on your Home page. It proposes, you approve. Nothing is published and no money is spent until you say so.
Getting started
Sign up and you land in the chat, no card needed. It asks for your website, reads it, and fills in your business, where you are, who you serve and how you sound; you correct anything in your own words. Setting up is free, and so is watching: connect your ad and social accounts and Republic keeps your numbers and flags anything that needs a look. When you want it to do the work (research, writing, pictures, posting, ad changes, automations), add a card: there's no monthly fee, you start with $2 of credits, and nothing is charged until they run out. On Agency it then writes your first posts; on Pay as you go it writes them from your credits when you ask. Connect accounts from Home, the chat's Connect buttons, or the Connections page. Each connection takes a minute and you authorize it on the platform's own screen, so we never see your passwords.
Set how it should sound on the Brand & Voice page: your tone, words to avoid, and rules it must follow in every post.
Finding your way around
The menu on the left is grouped by what you are doing.
- Home
- The chat. Ask for anything here.
- Approvals
- Everything waiting for your OK, posts and ad changes alike.
- Library
- Your images, videos and files, ready to use in posts and ads.
- Videos
- One box: attach something, say what you want, and Republic makes it. Attach an MP4 of you or your team talking and it cuts the best lines into short versions to test, with captions and your ask at the end. Attach a picture and it turns it into a short clip on the video model you pick. Or save a talking avatar (a clear picture of a person, a voice, and a tick that you have their permission) and it writes a script, or uses yours, and makes them say it, up to a minute. The tiles under the box set how many versions, how long, which shape, captions and the ask; your own words override them. Every video waits for review on the Videos page and in Approvals: approve it, ask for a change in plain words, adjust it by hand, or replace it with your own edited MP4. Making videos needs a card and uses credits.
- Swipe file
- Competitor ads and customer language it has collected for you to write from.
- Automations
- Standing jobs that run on a schedule, like a weekly report by email.
- Organic
- Research finds things worth posting about, Posts holds your drafts, Calendar shows what is scheduled, Google profile is your Business Profile, and Results shows how posts performed.
- Paid
- Research finds keywords and competitor ads, Campaigns is where your ads live (pick a network along the top for its spend, results and a chart, then tap a campaign to see its ad sets and ads or change it; New campaign builds ads from a page, and each network's budget cap and guardrails are one link from its tab), Results shows spend and what it brought in, and Reports builds a PDF or spreadsheet.
- Settings
- Connections, Brand & Voice, Compliance, My Sources, Team, Billing, Logs, and Settings for your time zone, which AI model does each job, image and video choices, a download of everything the workspace holds, and deleting the account.
When something does not go out
A post goes only where you point it. Each draft shows Post to with the networks lit: the one it was written for, until you pick others. Tap to change it before you approve; what you approve is exactly where it publishes. Google Business Profile is only used when you pick it. X takes 280 characters at most, so a longer post can't go to X until it's shortened; nothing is ever cut off. Pinterest needs a picture and takes 500 characters at most.
Every scheduled time is read in your workspace's time zone, set on the Settings page (it is captured from your browser when the brand is made). A post scheduled for 9:00 AM goes out at 9:00 AM where the business is.
If a post cannot be published (the platform was down, a rate limit), it is tried again after 15 minutes, an hour, and four hours. If every try fails, or a connection is dead, the post is marked Didn't post on the Posts page with the reason, the owner gets an email, and you can try again or send it back to drafts. A post that went out on one network but not another keeps the one that worked and retries the other; you can also retry that one network on the post.
When a connected account stops working (its token expired or was revoked), it is marked at once, nothing is attempted on it, the owner gets one email a day until it is reconnected, and the Connections page shows Reconnect. Ten days before a Facebook or LinkedIn token expires you get a heads-up so nothing misses its slot.
Logs holds a permanent record of everything that changed: who approved, published, launched, connected, or changed a setting, whether it was a person in the app, their ChatGPT or Claude, a scheduled agent, or Stripe. It can be downloaded as a spreadsheet.
Who can do what
Owners can do everything, including billing and deleting the account. Admins approve, schedule and publish, launch and change ads, disconnect accounts, and manage keys, automations and settings, but not billing. Members draft and edit posts, make images, ask the chat, read results and connect accounts, but cannot approve, publish, change ads, or disconnect accounts. Change a person's role on the Team page. No per-seat charge, on any plan.
Nothing runs without your OK
Ads are always created paused, so they spend nothing until you turn them on. Changes to live campaigns wait in Approvals until you approve them. Every change is kept in a permanent activity log (the Logs page), with who made it.
For posts you choose how much to approve yourself, on the Brand & Voice page.
Where you say yes is up to you: on the Approvals page, in the chat on your Home page, or in your own ChatGPT or Claude once it is connected. There it shows you the drafts with their images, and you approve, skip, or ask for changes in the same conversation. It asks you first and acts only after you tell it to, including for anything irreversible like removing a campaign.
- Manual
- You give the OK on every post.
- Assisted
- Everyday posts are approved for you; anything unusual still waits.
- Autopilot
- Posts schedule themselves.
Compliance, for regulated businesses
If you are a lender, an advisor, a bank, an insurer or a clinic, the Compliance page holds your policy: the disclosures every post and ad must carry, the words none may use, and standing instructions to the writer. Start from a preset for your industry and edit it; it is a first draft, not legal advice.
Every draft is checked against the policy by a program, not by the AI. A draft that fails shows exactly what and why on its card, and cannot be approved until it passes. Make it compliant fixes it in one click. Your own ChatGPT or Claude can run the same check with the check_compliance tool before pushing a draft.
Turning a campaign on
Everything Republic builds starts switched off, so it spends nothing until it is switched on: Google and Meta campaigns start paused, and LinkedIn ones start as drafts. You can always switch your own campaigns on yourself in the ad platform, on any plan.
- Republic never switches a LinkedIn campaign on, on any plan. You do it yourself in LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Google and Meta
- On every plan, Republic can switch a campaign on for you, but only after you approve it in Approvals. On any plan you can also do it yourself in Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager.
Connecting your accounts
Everything connects from the Connections page. Pick a platform, sign in on its own screen, and click Allow. Disconnect any time from the same place.
- Publishes to your Facebook Page. The same login covers your Meta ad account, which also runs your Instagram ads.
- Posts go to the Instagram business or creator account linked to your Facebook Page, through your Facebook connection. An Instagram post needs a picture; a post without one skips Instagram.
- One connection covers both: posts publish to LinkedIn, and every ad account you have in Campaign Manager shows under Campaigns.
- X
- Publishes approved posts to your X timeline.
- Reddit posts
- Nothing to connect, and you post them yourself: Reddit doesn't let apps like Republic post for a business. Ask the chat for a Reddit post and name the community (like r/Austin). It writes a title and text that fit Reddit, and the card's Open Reddit button opens that community's post page filled in (Copy buttons too). Once it's up, paste the link back in the chat or on the post, and it's saved with your posts. Many communities don't allow promotion, so check their rules first. Reddit Ads connect separately, on the Connections page.
- Google Ads
- Shows how your campaigns are doing and builds new ones, always paused until you turn them on. If you have no Google Ads account yet, the Campaigns page can make one for you.
- Google Business Profile
- Your listing on Google Search and Maps. Once connected you can post there and see your reviews and Google's own numbers.
- TikTok Ads
- Shows your TikTok campaigns and results next to Meta and Google.
- Coming soon. It's built and waiting on Pinterest's review of Republic: once approved, one connection posts your pictures as Pins and shows your Pinterest ad results under Campaigns. You can ask for it on the Connections page.
- Microsoft Advertising
- Shows your Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo search campaigns and results next to Google. Sign in with the Microsoft login that has your ads account, work or personal. Changes to those campaigns still happen in Microsoft Advertising.
- WordPress
- Writes blog posts into your site as drafts. You publish them yourself.
- GitHub
- Proposes changes to your website as a pull request for you to review. It never touches your live site directly.
- Etsy
- Nothing to sign in to. On the Connections page, paste your shop's link on the Etsy card and pick the listings to bring in (Settings has the same, under Content source, Product). Ads made from a listing or your shop use your real product photos and words instead of made pictures; ask the chat for an ad about any of them. To have your posts feature them too, set Content source to Product in Settings. Update from Etsy brings them up to date and takes out anything no longer for sale.
Using Republic from your own AI
ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Codex can all work with your Republic account directly. They connect to one address: https://www.republicai.net/api/mcp
Your own AI can read everything you have connected, answer questions about it, write your posts and send them here for your OK, and run your ads: it drafts ad changes and campaigns, and Republic carries out what you approve. Your own AI does the thinking on your own subscription, so its work costs no credits here. Publishing and ad changes start once your workspace has its card in. Everything it sends waits for your OK.
Approving works from there too: ask what is waiting, it shows each draft with its image, and you say approve, skip, or change it, right in the chat. It never approves on its own, and anything irreversible is spelled out before it asks.
Each connection belongs to one workspace and only ever sees that workspace. You can see and revoke every connection on the Connections page.
- Claude
- Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste https://www.republicai.net/api/mcp. It sends you to sign in to Republic; click Allow. No key needed. Works on every Claude plan, Free included (Free allows one custom connector).
- ChatGPT
- Republic is in review for ChatGPT's plugin directory. Once it is listed, you will install it from Settings, then Plugins, in one click. Until then ChatGPT only reaches servers you add yourself, on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu (a free ChatGPT cannot add one). The steps: open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode. Open Plugins in the left sidebar, press the plus button, and choose Create app, then Create MCP App. In the New Plugin form, name it Republic Marketing, paste https://www.republicai.net/api/mcp as the server URL, leave Authentication on OAuth, tick the box that says you understand this is a custom server, and press Create. ChatGPT sends you to sign in to Republic right away; click Allow. In a new chat, pick Republic from the tools menu under the composer or mention it by name. Choose Create app, not Create plugin or Upload plugin: those make a bundle that cannot pick up new tools. When Republic adds tools, create the app again the same way. Developer mode is only a switch that lets ChatGPT talk to servers you add by hand; it changes nothing else about your account, gives nobody access to it, and you can turn it off again once Republic is in the directory. On a Business or Enterprise workspace the page is called Apps, an admin may need to allow it first, and only an admin can publish the app to the whole workspace.
- Claude Code
- Create a key on the Connections page, then run: claude mcp add republic --transport http https://www.republicai.net/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
- Codex
- Create a key on the Connections page, then add to ~/.codex/config.toml: [mcp_servers.republic] url = "https://www.republicai.net/api/mcp" and http_headers = { "Authorization" = "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
Images and video
Images are designed with your words right on them. You choose good or great on the Settings page, or tell the chat.
Videos animate one of your images into a short clip, with sound unless you choose otherwise. Pick the video model on the Settings page, or choose one on any single video.
- Good
- Accurate words, clean layouts, about twice as fast. 120 credits an image on Agency, 200 credits on Pay as you go.
- Great
- Holds your brand colours and richer layouts. The one for ads that matter. 225 credits an image on Agency, 375 credits on Pay as you go.
AI models
You choose which AI model does each job: chat, writing, ads, research and automations. Set them on the Settings page. In the chat, the model menu inside the message box switches the model for that conversation only, and the conversation carries on where it was.
On Agency, chat and the writing, ad ideas and research you ask for are included. Each plan includes an AI, media and automation allowance; past the premium-text fair-use level, chat and writing keep working on the value model until the 1st. Images, video and automations spend the allowance.
On Pay as you go, credits pay for Republic's AI by what each job uses: chat, writing, ad ideas, research, images, video and automations. Credits never expire, and bigger packs include a bonus. With no credits left, the AI's work pauses; posting, approvals and your results keep working.
Automations, the work that runs on its own schedule, come with every plan. An automation that finds too few credits doesn't run; you get a notification and an email, and automatic refills on Billing keep that from happening.
Auto is Republic's pick for each job and moves with us when a better model arrives. Claude is the most careful with your accounts. Whatever you pick, changes still wait for your OK.
Open models run only on US hosts that keep no copy of your data and never train on it.
The calculator on Billing shows roughly how many replies, automation runs, images and videos your AI balance buys with the models you pick. You're always charged for what each job actually used.
- Auto (Claude Sonnet 5)
- Republic's pick for this job. It follows us when a better model arrives. In automations on Agency, about 140 credits a run.
- Claude Opus 5.5
- Republic's writer: posts, ad copy and campaign plans. In automations on Agency, about 263 credits a run.
- Claude Opus 4.8
- The previous Opus writer. In automations on Agency, about 351 credits a run.
- Claude Sonnet 5
- Republic's everyday agent. Fast, careful with your accounts. In automations on Agency, about 140 credits a run.
- Claude Haiku 4.5
- Quick answers for little cost. In automations on Agency, about 70 credits a run.
- MiMo Flash
- Everyday chat and drafts for a fraction of the credits. A little slower to answer. In automations on Agency, about 9 credits a run.
- MiMo Pro
- A stronger open model, still far cheaper than Claude. A little slower to answer. In automations on Agency, about 27 credits a run.
Plans
Every plan does everything: connects your accounts, reports on your results, publishes your posts, runs your ads with your OK and runs automations. Pay as you go is one brand with no monthly fee: watching is free, a card puts Republic to work, and the AI's work is paid from credits by what each job uses. Agency includes chat and writing, makes images, video and automations cheaper, and adds brands at $99 a month each after the first. Ad spend is paid directly to the networks. Change or cancel any time on Billing.
- Pay as you go, $0 a month, one brand
- Everything Republic does, for one brand. You pay only for the AI's work, in credits. Connect every ad and social account you have. Change and launch your ads, each change carried out once you approve it. Post to every network you connect. Chat, writing, images, video and automations, paid by what each job uses. Watching is free: connect, see your numbers and get flagged when something's off, no card needed. A card puts it to work, with 2,000 credits to start. Works inside ChatGPT and Claude. Invite your whole team, no per-seat charge. One brand. Nothing is charged until your starting credits run out and you add more.
- Agency, $99 a month, first brand
- More brands, with chat and writing included and everything else cheaper. Everything in Pay as you go. Chat and AI writing included. Images, video and automations cost fewer credits than on Pay as you go. Switch between brands from one login. Unlimited team members, no per-seat charge. 9,900 credits for images, video and automations a month, about 80 designed images or 30 short videos. Additional brands at $99 a month each.
When something isn't working
- A post didn't go out
- Check Approvals. On Manual, posts wait for your OK. Also check the platform is still connected on the Connections page.
- A connection needs attention
- Platforms expire access now and then. Reconnect it on the Connections page; nothing you made is lost.
- Out of AI balance
- On Agency, images, video and automations pause while chat and writing keep working. On Pay as you go, Republic's AI pauses while results, your own AI, publishing and approvals keep working. Add credits or turn on automatic refills on Billing.
- The bell
- The bell at the top shows problems that need you: not enough credits, a job that didn't finish, a post that didn't go out. The red number is what's new since you last opened it. Nothing routine ever shows up there.
- An idea, or something broke
- Use Request a feature or Report a problem at the bottom of the left menu. Your note reaches us with the page you were on, and a person reads every one.
- Anything else
- Email support@republicai.net and a person will answer.
